National Company for Rail Transport (SNTF) workers embarked on a strike during the morning hours (local time) on Sunday, November 18, impacting rail services nationwide. According to SNTF officials, workers launched the work stoppage in support of a conductor who was injured after being struck by a thrown rock. Although the strike reportedly ended at 08:00 (local time), local reports indicate significant delays persist on national lines, notably between Algiers and Blida as well as Algiers and Boumerdès


Travelers are advised to confirm rail timetables and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
