An improvised explosive device (IED) attack was reported on the outskirts of Mogadishu on Friday, November 23. The attack, suspected of being carried out by Al-Shabaab militants, reportedly targeted government soldiers, leaving at least three wounded.


Al-Shabaab continues to conduct bombings and assassinations in southern and central Somalia, including Mogadishu. The group frequently targets government and international delegate convoys, infrastructure, and personnel.
