Activists in Tunisia have called for demonstrations along Habib Bourguiba Avenue in the capital Tunis, beginning at 17:00 (local time) on Monday, November 26, a day prior to the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. At least 13 civil society groups have called on supporters to join to protest the Saudi government's involvement in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Additional demonstrations are possible during the Saudi Crown Prince's visit on November 27. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are expected near protest sites.
Individuals in Tunisia, and in particular Tunis, are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests due to the risk of potential violence, and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities.
