Residents in southeastern Bolivia announced a 48-hour protests beginning Monday, November 26, into Tuesday, November 27, over the redistribution of oil royalties. Protesters in Villamontes (Tarija department) blocked highways leading from Santa Cruz to Yacuiba and called for a work stoppage. Transportation disruptions and delays are likely through Tuesday and into Wednesday, November 28.
