Gunshots were reported near the Alassane Ouattara University Campus 2 in Bouaké on Wednesday, November 28, following unrest earlier in the day. According to local media reports, the gunshots were heard around 20:00 (local time) along with clashes between students and guards at a nearby prison camp. Initial unconfirmed reports indicate at least three people have been wounded. Further violence is possible in the coming hours and days.


Individuals in Bouaké are advised to avoid the area of the incident, monitor the situation, and obey all instructions issued by the local authorities.
