The right-wing opposition party VMRO-DPME plans to hold protests in the capital Skopje every Wednesday to demand the government's resignation. A first rally took place in front of the government headquarters on November 28. Associated transportation disruptions, along with potential clashes between protesters and polices, are expected on protest days.

A number of protests have been held by the VMRO-DPME in recent weeks to denounce Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and his government, deteriorating socioeconomic conditions, the country's name change, and the conviction of former opposition leader Nikola Gruevski, among other grievances.

Individuals in Skopje are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
