Anti-coal protests to take place in Berlin and Cologne on December 1; associated disruptions expected

Anti-coal protests are set to take place in Berlin and Cologne on Saturday, December 1. In both cities, participants will hold demonstrations between noon and 14:30 (local time). In Berlin, they will gather in front of the German Chancellery, before marching through Friedrichstrasse; in Cologne, participants will march through the city center after having gathered at the Deutzer shipyard. Localized transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the marches. 


Individuals in Berlin and Cologne are advised to avoid all protests as a precaution.
