The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood warning on Thursday, December 6, until 14:15 (local time) for Orange county (California). Areas that may experience flooding include Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, western Corona, Orange, Fullerton, Costa Mesa, and Tustin. Thunderstorms and heavy rains are expected through the evening hours of Thursday. Associated transportation disruptions, along with power outages, are possible due to flooding and potential infrastructure damage.
Individuals present in and around Orange county are advised to follow all instructions as issued by local authorities and anticipate residual transportation disruptions. Remember that driving or walking through running water can be dangerous; 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock an adult over.
