The Regional Work Union (URT) called for air traffic controllers in Tunisia to stage a strike on Thursday, December 13, and Friday, December 14, to denounce the government's alleged failure to address grievances regarding working conditions. Officials have announced that the airspace above Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN) - would likely remain closed during the strike. Severe disruptions (including delays and cancelations) to domestic and international flights are to be anticipated throughout Tunisia on December 13-14.
