Lingering traffic disruptions are anticipated on Interstate 73 near Greensboro (Guilford county, North Carolina) after a tractor-trailer overturned on the route and caught fire on the morning (local time) of Thursday, December 13. The truck was reportedly carrying 3200 liters (8500 gallons) of gasoline when the driver lost control of the vehicle on an icy patch of the I-73 South bridge traversing I-85 North; authorities closed I-85 in both directions at mile marker 120 and I-73 south at the I-40 split. According to local sources, all lanes of I-85 have been reopened as of 14:15 (local time).
