Trade union to hold protests in Adana, Istanbul, and Diyarbakır on December 15, 16, and 22; associated disruptions expected

Protests held by the Confederation of Public Workers' Union (KESK) are scheduled to take place throughout Turkey on December 15, 16, and 22, to denounce deteriorating socioeconomic conditions. In Adana, participants will gather at 13:00 (local time) on December 15 at Ugur Mumcu Square; in Diyarbakır, the protest will be held at 13:00 on December 16 at Station Square; in Istanbul, protesters will rally at 14:00 on December 22 at Republic Square. Localized transportation disruptions can be expected in these areas on the aformentioned dates. 


Individuals present in Turkey are advised to avoid all protests as a precaution.
