Students staged multiple demonstrations and erected roadblocks on Friday, December 14, in Capesterre Belle Eau, Sainte-Rose, and throughout Basse-Terre, leading to significant transportation disruptions. On Thursday, December 13, clashes broke out between students and security forces during protests in Moule, Pointe-à-Pitre, Baie-Mahault, Basse-Terre, and Gourbeyre. According to reports, the demonstrations are being organized to protest educational reforms. Further student protests are expected in the coming days.
