A bomb attack targeted the premises of the private TV station Skaï, located in the capital Athens, on Monday morning, December 17 (local time). Although no causalities have been reported, severe infrastructure damage has affected the building. An investigation is underway to determine those responsible for the attack. Associated traffic disruptions can be expected. Further similar attacks cannot be ruled out.


Attacks against media stations, banks, and government institutions are not uncommon in Greece, and are mostly conducted by anarchist or far-left groups.


Individuals present in Athens are advised to monitor the situation, follow all instructions issued by local authorities, and avoid the site of the bombing.
