Unions representing airline pilots have announced a demonstration in Buenos Aires on Thursday, December 27, to denounce the hiring of foreign crews by Argentinian airlines. Organizers are planning to rally at the Ministry of Transport building beginning at 11:00 (local time). Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the demonstration.

Unionized pilots agreed on December 22 to suspend a nationwide strike set for December 27 for at least 15-days to allow for negotiations with the government.

Individuals in Buenos Aires are advised to anticipate localized transportation disruptions around protest sites and to avoid all demonstrations as a precaution.
