High-speed rail service inaugurated between Huangshan and Hangzhou December 25

The China Railway Corporation opened a new high-speed railway in the Yangtze River Delta economic zone on Tuesday, December 25. The train will operate ten stations along a 265 km (164 mi) route linking Huangshan (Anhui province) to Hangzhou (Zhejiang province). According to officials, the rail line was built to provide better access to tourist sites previously accessible primarily by bus lines.
