Police officials announced that a suspect claiming to have a bomb in Terminal 3 at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) has been arrested on the evening (local time) of Monday, December 31, and operations are returning to normal at the airport. Authorities have not yet commented on whether there was in fact a viable threat. Residual flight disruptions are possible in the coming hours.
