A runway incident involving a landing plane caused authorities to suspend operations at Guadalajara's Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) on Thursday, January 3. An inbound flight from Mexico City experienced a tire fire upon landing shortly before 11:00 (local time), prompting authorities to close the runway and conduct an emergency evacuation of the plane.
