On Friday, January 4, over 350 trains in the National Capital Region were canceled as visibility dropped due to dense fog; dozens more were delayed up to seven hours. Air transportation was impacted less by the inclement weather, with flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) proceeding almost normally. Foggy conditions are forecast to persist over the coming days. Consequent transportation disruptions (including train and flight delays and cancelations) are possible.
