Associated demonstrations are possible in cities throughout Mali, notably in the capital Bamako. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of any demonstration.

Strikes are commonplace in Mali. Teachers, lawyers, and health workers across the country held significant strikes throughout 2017 and 2018.
