Security staff at Düsseldorf (DUS), Stuttgart (STR), and Cologne-Bonn Konrad-Adenauer (CGN) international airports will hold a strike from 03:00 to 23:59 (local time) on Thursday, January 10. Flight delays and cancelations, along with increased waiting times at screening areas, are to be expected.


Labor union representatives have reported that the fourth round of negotiations over wage increases for its 23,000 members failed in December. According to Germany's airport authority, negotiations will resume on January 23.


Travelers are advised to confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport and anticipate increased waiting times at screening areas.
