Public transportation unions in Rome plan to launch a 24-hour strike on Friday, January 17. The strike will affect all bus, tram, subway, and regional railway services provided by the Transport Company of the Municipality of Rome (ATAC). The Roma-Lido, Termini-Centocelle, and Rome-Civitascastellana-Viterbo regional rail lines are expected to be particularly affected. Unless averted, significant transportation disruptions are to be expected throughout the Rome metropolitan area during the strike.
