Leaders of the Actions for the Restoration of Human Dignity (ARDH) civil society group are calling for supporters to hold a protest march in Abidjan on Saturday, January 19. Participants are being asked to wear orange vests, similar to the “Yellow vest” movement in France. The march is expected to start in the Adjame area and end outside the Palace of Justice. Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are expected along the march route.

ARDH organized a similar protest on December 19 to denounce perceived "injustices and political abuses."

Individuals in Abidjan are advised to follow all instructions issued by local authorities, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
