Officials at Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA) temporarily suspended operations following a runway incident at approximately 14:00 (local time) on Friday, January 18. Local reports indicate a Southwest Airlines flight slid off the runway due to poor weather conditions; there were no immediate reports of injuries. The Omaha metropolitan area (Nebraska) is under a Winter Weather Advisory as freezing rain and snow are forecast in the region. Flight disruptions are expected at OMA in the coming hours.
