The Met Office issued "severe" yellow warnings for ice for most of Scotland and a large part of England, on Wednesday, January 24. Heavy snowfall and icy conditions have caused significant transportation disruptions, notably on roads, over the past few days and further disruptions are likely in the coming hours and days. Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists have been urged to take caution due to the ice. Further snowfall are expected over the weekend January 26-27, along with related transportation disruptions. 


Individuals in the UK are advised to monitor local weather reports and prepare for transportation disruptions (including road closures and flight delays and cancelations).
