Ivoirian security officials have announced that a military drill will be held in the northeastern part of Bouaké (Gbêkê region) near Bouaké Airport (BYK) on the morning (local time) of Tuesday, January 29. According to the Ministry of Defense, an estimated 300 soldiers will participate in the drill. The ministry warned that explosions and shots would be heard during the exercise and asked the population to remain calm and cooperate with security forces.
Individuals in Bouaké are advised to adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities and anticipate a heightened security presence.
