On Tuesday, January 29, Bangkok's Don Mueang airport authorities, warned passengers of possible air traffic delays to or from Don Mueang airport (DMK) due to runway maintenance conducted from Tuesday, January 29 to Friday, February 1. Delays up to one hour are possible.
Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) is one of two international airports serving Bangkok, the other one being Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). It is one of the world's oldest international airports and Asia's oldest operating airport. Since the opening of BKK, it has become a regional commuter flight hub and the de facto low-cost airline hub.
Travelers flying to or from DMK are advised to confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport.
