On Friday, February 1, an Indian Air Force trainer aircraft crashed in the southern city of Bengaluru shortly after taking off, killing the two pilots. The plane crashed at the edge of the airport compound, surrounded by residential buildings and offices. No other casualties or major material damage were reported.
