A fire ignited at the Hotel Las Naciones in Buenos Aires, close to the Obelisco, on the afternoon (local time) of Friday, February 1, leaving at least one person dead and dozens of others injured. Firefighters and police responded to the blaze, causing traffic disruptions along Avenida Corrientes between Avenida Carlos Pelligrini and Calle Esmeralda, and have brought the fire under control.
