Screening and related security disruptions are to be expected at Orlando International Airport (MCO) over the coming hours after a man reportedly jumped from the balcony of the Hyatt Regency Hotel into the airport atrium area on the morning (local time) of Saturday, February 2. The incident is being regarded as an apparent suicide, according to Orlando Police. Some passengers were required to be rescreened at security checkpoints following the incident. Airport authorities are advising individuals traveling via MCO to prepare for delays as regularly scheduled operations begin to resume and to arrive at the airport early for scheduled flights.
