San Francisco fire fighters are working to contain a fire that broke out after a gas line exploded in the Richmond district at approximately 13:10 (local time) on Wednesday, February 6. The blaze broke out around the 3300 block of Geary Boulevard at a construction site. As of 14:10 (local time) emergency responders have not reported any casualties. Authorities cordoned off the area around the fire as containment efforts continue. Traffic disruptions are expected in the area.


Individuals in San Francisco are advised to avoid the area of the fire, obey all instructions issued by the local authorities, and allow additional time to travel if moving through the area.
