Around 2500 people remain without power in the Hills area of Sydney as of Saturday, February 9, following a severe storm. According to the local power company, Endeavour Energy, some 40,000 people were left without electricity in Sydney, Illawarra, and Hunter earlier on Saturday. The storm brought rains of up to 61 mm (2.4 in), leading to flash flooding in the Parramatta area of the city. Crews are currently working to restore power to affected households. Residual disruptions remain possible. 


Individuals present in affected areas are advised to monitor local weather forecasts, adhere to instructions issued by the local authorities, and keep battery-powered devices charged when possible.
