Chief ministers of West Bengal, Delhi, and Andhra Pradesh, as well as leaders of political opposition parties are planning to stage a sit-in protest (dharna) at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Wednesday, February 13. The protest, organized under the slogan "Remove Dictatorship, Save Democracy," will reportedly be held to denounce the alleged misuse of central government agencies by the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stifle political opponents in control of state governments. The demonstration is expected to be well attended.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are to be anticipated around the demonstration site.
