Power outages expected in Dakar February 21-22

The national electricity company SENELEC has warned that power cuts will affect some Dakar's neighborhoods from 08:00 to 15:00 (local time) on February 21 and February 22 to allow for maintenance work. The affected districts include Parcelles-Assainies, Nord-Foire, Cambérène, and Keur Damel. The situation is expected to normalize by 15:00 on February 22, although residual outages are possible. 

Advice

Individuals in Dakar are advised to anticipate blackouts in the coming weeks and to keep battery-operated devices fully charged whenever possible. In addition, individuals are advised to be cautious when driving or crossing streets if traffic signals are not functioning.
