Multiple Moroccan trade unions including the ODT, FDT, and CDT, have called for nationwide demonstrations to be organized on Sunday, February 24. The demonstrations are being organized to protest government policies and support labor demands by unions representing teachers. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are to be expected near any demonstration site. Clashes between demonstrators and security forces cannot be ruled out.

Context

Unions representing teachers staged a demonstration in Rabat on February 20. Police fired water cannons to disperse a teachers' demonstration in Rabat; several demonstrators were reportedly wounded.
