Civil society groups are organizing a demonstration in Beirut on Monday, March 4, to protest the development of a dam in the Bisri Valley. Protesters are expected to gather at the World Bank offices on Abdallah Bayham Street at 17:30 (local time). Localized traffic disruptions are to be expected near the demonstration.


The Bisri Valley dam (South province) is a World Bank-funded project to address water shortages in the Beirut area.
