Unidentified gunmen attacked a construction site and kidnapped a Lebanese national at the Dangi roundabout in Kano (Kano state) around 07:00 (local time) on Tuesday, March 12. According to local reports, one person was killed and another wounded in the attack. Officials indicate the abductee is an employee of a Nigerian construction company; the whereabouts of the abductee remain unknown. Further such attacks and kidnappings targeting foreign nationals are possible in the region over the near term.
