According to Bush, multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were also successfully defused on vehicles used in the shootings. Officials have lifted the school lockdown throughout Christchurch but warned that a large police presence will remain throughout the city, particularly near the Al Noor Mosque on Deans Avenue and the Linwood area mosque.
