The Dale county sheriff's office in Ozark (Alabama state) has been evacuated on Tuesday evening (local time), March 19, after a pipe bomb was discovered at the site. Bomb squad technicians have been dispatched to the building and adjacent South Merrick Avenue has been cordoned off to traffic.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are to be expected around the site over the coming hours.
