Further demonstrations by campesinos are possible in the coming weeks.

On March 20, thousands of campesinos began marching to Asunción from municipalities throughout Paraguay, primarily from cities in San Pedro, Concepción, and Canindeyú departments, to protest agricultural policies that leaders claim favor corporate interests.
