Water cuts to affect Yangon on March 22; stock up on bottled water

Authorities in Yangon have announced disruptions to water service in the city on Friday, March 22. According to the Yangon City Development Committee, the water supply will be cut from 10:00 to 20:00 (local time) to allow for maintenance work. The disruption will impact the townships of Ahlone, Bahan, Botahtaung, Dawbon, Kamayut, Kyimindaing, Mayangone, Mingalar Taung Nyunt, Mingalardon, North DagonEast Dagon, South Dagon, Seikkan, North Okkalapa, South Okkalapa, Pazundaung, Sanchaung, Thaketa, Tamwe, Thingangyun, and Yankin


Individuals in affected areas are advised to stock up on bottled water, keep abreast of the situation, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
