Traders are protesting near the Qualicel Bus Terminal located on the Nakivubo road in the capital Kampala as of Thursday, March 21, to denounce increased rent charges in the area. A heightened security presence has been deployed in the area. Further such protests are likely in the coming days and weeks.


Individuals in Kampala are advised to remain vigilant and avoid any form of public demonstrations or public gatherings due to the risk of violence.
