At least two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) have detonated in Mogadishu at approximately 10:55 (local time) on Saturday, March 23. The devices exploded near the Juba Hotel and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Gunfire is also currently being reported in the area and may be part of a complex attack. No casualty figures have been released. Details are still emerging.


Individuals in Mogadishu are advised to avoid the affected area, monitor developments to the situation, remain vigilant for militant activity, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
