The Kenya Patriotic Movement (KEPAM) has scheduled an anti-corruption demonstration in Nairobi on Saturday, March 30. Supporters will gather in the Central Business District (CBD) before marching to Uhuru Park. The rally is being held under the slogan “Redeem Kenya Demo” and KEPAM leaders have invited all Kenyans to join. Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are expected around the demonstration. During previous rallies, police officers have used force to disperse protesters.
KEPAM is demanding that any government official involved in or abetting corruption be removed from office and prosecuted.
Individuals in Nairobi are advised to monitor the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and obey all instructions issued by the local authorities.
