Authorities will hold a three-hour emergency exercise drill at Muscat International Airport (MCT) on Wednesday, March 27. The drill will take place from 10:00 to 13:00 (local time). The military, royal police, civil defense, ministry of health, and other public and private organizations will participate in the exercise. A heightened security and emergency services presence is expected at and near the airport. Minor disruptions, including increased traffic in the surrounding areas and some delays of airport services, are possible.


Individuals traveling through MCT are advised to anticipate a heightened security presence and associated disruptions and allow additional time to reach the airport and proceed through airport checkpoints.
