Western Line rail service resumed in Auckland on Wednesday, March 27, at approximately 16:30 (local time). While trains are able to run across the full length of the line, Auckland Transport announced that they will continue to run at 20-minute frequency through the evening peak hours. Residual transportation disruptions are expected to continue through Wednesday evening.


Auckland Transport closed the Mount Albert station on the afternoon of March 27 after a person was reportedly fatally struck by a train near the Woodward Road crossing.
