Heavy snowfall and rainfall prompted Geneva Airport (GVA) authorities to temporarily close the runway as of 10:00 (local time) on Thursday, April 2. Flight delays and cancelations are to be expected at GVA over the coming hours. The SRF meteorological office has also forecast further heavy rain and snow over the course of the day.


Individuals traveling via GVA over the coming hours are advised to monitor local weather reports, prepare for flight disruptions (i.e. delays and cancelations), and confirm flight reservations before departing for the airport.
