A fire broke out at the CentralWorld hotel in Bangkok on the evening (local time) of Wednesday, April 10, leaving at least three people dead and seven others injured. Local reports indicate authorities were first notified of the blaze on the hotel's eighth floor at approximately 17:49 (local time) but were unable to immediately access the incident site due to heavy traffic. The fire also prompted the evacuation of the adjoining shopping complex. Residual traffic disruptions are expected in the area in the coming hours.
