A fire and an explosion were reported at an oil and gas facility in Johor in the early morning hours (local time) of Friday, April 12. The incident occurred at approximately 01:25 at the Pengerang Integrated Complex. According to a statement from the national oil company Petronas, emergency and fire responders were able to contain the fire within 30 minutes. Officials confirmed that two people were injured in the incident. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
