Water shortages are expected to affect Dakar between Wednesday, April 24, and Tuesday, April 30, due to maintenance work at the Keur Momar Sarr water plant. According to the Sénégalaise des Eaux (SDE) national water company, the situation is expected to stabilise from Monday, April 29. Residual disruptions are possible. 


Individuals in Dakar are advised to conserve water, stock up on bottled water, keep abreast of the situation via local media outlets, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities (e.g. water rationing measures).
