An anti-corruption march is scheduled to be held in Nairobi on Tuesday, April 30. The march will start at 10:00 (local time) at Uhuru Park and is being held under the slogan “The Peoples March Against 50 Years of Corruption and Impunity.” Participants are being asked to dress in red clothing. Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated around the protest site.
Multiple marches against government corruption and graft have been organized in recent months. The April 30 protest is being led by the Red Vests Movement, which was formed on February 26, 2019.
Individuals in Nairobi are advised to monitor the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and obey all instructions issued by the local authorities.
